Documenting Life

Due to reasons beyond our control, this family session took place at an unlikely place - the Rossmoor Retirement Community.  Scheduling the session was a fight against time as Evelyn's mother is battling the last stage of cancer.  All that Evelyn asked for are some photos to document her family, most importantly, something for her daughter to remember her Mother by.  I have never been more nervous about a session as I was this day.   A bit of nervous energy has always made me work better but I really did not want to disappoint this family.

San Francisco Family Session - Revisiting a Favorite Client

This was my second invitation back to photograph this beautiful family.  We first met in December of 2014 for Sage's first photo session.  We met again last year for Sage's first birthday party.   This year is an exciting one - ready or not, Sage, you're getting a sibling!   I feel so privilege for the honor of documenting such happy moments in their lives.  I cannot wait to meet their new addition!

I still get butterflies before a photo session, especially when it's for a friend.  In this case, not only have I known Tina since our undergrad days, but this session was their first family photo session since becoming a family of four.  No pressure, right?!  Fortunately, they are such a beautiful family, inside and out.
