So thankful we ignored the naysayers who called Cinque Terre a tourist trap. Our stop in Riomaggiore was without a doubt my favorite part of our trip. It was a delightful break from all the sightseeing and walking, although getting to our cliff side room wasn't easy with two full size suitcases, rugged stairs, plenty of twists and turns, and no clear directions from any map. But all of that didn't matter. I adored every moment spent in this colorful town.
